Bar Attendant Position Summary

The Bar Attendant provides genuine hospitality to all Residents visiting the Bar, including: Family members, Visitors and Team Members. This job creates a special experience for our customers by providing them with prompt service, quality beverages, wholesome products, and maintaining a clean and comfortable environment.

 

Qualifications and Required Experience for Bar Attendant:

  • 2+ years bartending experience in a full-service restaurant
  • Minimum 18 years of age with legal authorization to work in the United States
  • Maintains regular and consistent attendance and punctuality, with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Available to work flexible hours that may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Meets Bar operating policies and standards, including providing quality beverages, cash handling and store safety and security, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Primary Responsibilities for Bistro Attendant:

  • Maintains a calm demeanor during periods of high volume or unusual events to keep the Bar operating to standard and to set a positive example for the team.
  • Follows health, safety and sanitation guidelines for all products.
  • Engages with and understand our customers, including discovering and responding to customer needs through clear and pleasant communication.
  • Anticipates Resident’s needs by constantly observing their demeaner for cues.
  • Communicates Resident’s feed-back information to Culinary Director so that the team can respond as necessary.
  • Assists with new employee training by positively reinforcing successful performance and giving respectful and encouraging coaching as needed.
  • Delivers genuine hospitality to all customers by acting as “Ladies and Gentlemen serving Ladies and Gentlemen” and interacting with the Residents in a dignified manner.
  • Follows operational policies and procedures, including those for cash handling and safety and security, to ensure the safety of all Associates during each shift. Maintains a clean and organized workspace so that partners can locate resources and product as needed.
  • Reports issues and repairs needed to Dining Room Manager.
