Regional Wellness Director: Chicago Area or Eastern Michigan

 

Position Summary:

As Regional Wellness Director, you are delegated the administrative authority, responsibility, and accountability necessary for carrying out your assigned duties. Responsibilities include but are not Limited to assigned travel to all communities within the region, providing clinical expertise and Support to Regional Directors, Executive Directors, Wellness Directors and all wellness team members. Responsible for the successful implementation and maintenance of corporate policies and procedures.

Conduct regular quality audits to ensure compliance with American House standards and State and Federal Regulations. Participate in hiring, training, and mentoring Wellness Directors.

 

Qualifications:

  • Must be a Registered Nurse with an Associate or Bachelor’s degree or LPN
  • Maintains a current state license as a Registered Nurse per state regulations
  • Two years RN experience including at least one year of experience in home health, assisted living or a long-term care environment
  • Minimum of one l year nurse management experience, including hiring, coaching, performance management and daily operations supervision
  • Knowledge of applied nursing practice and techniques in accordance with federal, state and Local regulations
  • Outstanding assessment, medication management, and follow up
  • Demonstrates sound judgment, problem-solving, and decision making skills
  • Experience with the elderly required and must have a thorough understanding of aging issues related to health

Essential Duties:

  • Implements policies and procedures for Wellness Services in the region. Monitors achievement of goals and objectives for the community consistent with established standards of
  • Collaborates with the company Wellness leadership team and community leadership team to organize clinical data to identify major trends, identify underlying issues and generate action plans to achieve long-term community and company
  • Participates in the onboarding processes as well as evaluation and recording of individual and Wellness team performance, provide coaching and counseling, and make appropriate development or performance recommendations.
  • Collaborate with company Wellness leadership to identify and execute on quarterly key performance indicator criteria and/ or policy development to achieve high level of quality and
  • Reviews and investigates resident/family complaints as directed by the VP of Operations. Ensures compliance with resident rights and works to resolve resident
  • Schedule and complete weekly site visits to communities and successfully ensure follow through with Wellness Directors while providing guidance, clinical expertise, communication, and consistent leadership training within each
  • Monitor the overall operation of the Wellness department. Conducts community reviews based on operational needs, changes in management and regulatory
  • Participates in State and Federal surveys and compliance investigations. Supports and follows up with communities in identifying trends and assists in the development of corrective action plans and troubleshooting resolutions. Reports finding of State and Federal surveys to the VP of Operations and Corporate Wellness
  • Reviews all potential move-outs due to level of care concerns prior to any notifications
  • Reviews all potential move-in denials prior to any communication with prospective resident or family member.
  • Step into open Wellness Director positions and work onsite at a community during transitions or when otherwise needed for extended
  • Keep abreast of health care industry trends and regulatory requirements through active participation in local and state associations, attending courses and reviewing industry
  • Provide regular reports and updates to Corporate Wellness Director, Regional Operations, and community leadership team on a timely
  • Performs other duties as assigned
