Hospitality Director - Luxury Independent Living
Under the direction of the Campus Executive Director, the Hospitality Director provides administrative and operational support for the Independent Living community, with particular responsibility for resident move-ins, office coordination, resident communication, and day-to-day customer service.
This position serves as a primary point of contact for Independent Living residents, families, prospects preparing to move in, and campus departments. The role helps ensure that move-ins are well coordinated, resident needs are communicated appropriately, and the Independent Living office operates efficiently and professionally.
Qualifications and Experience
- Two or more years of office management, hospitality, senior living, property management, customer service, or related experience preferred.
- Strong organizational and administrative skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and follow through on details.
- Strong customer-service orientation and ability to work effectively with older adults and their families.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and other business software applications.
- Experience coordinating move-ins, events, projects, or customer onboarding preferred.
- Valid driver's license, satisfactory driving record, and current automobile insurance.
Primary Responsibilities
- Serve as the administrative point of contact for the Independent Living office.
- Coordinate the resident move-in process in partnership with Sales, Maintenance, Housekeeping, Culinary, Life Enrichment, and other campus departments.
- Maintain move-in checklists and confirm that apartments and related services are ready prior to resident arrival.
- Welcome new residents and assist with orientation to the community.
- Provide residents and families with information regarding community services, schedules, procedures, and points of contact.
- Maintain regular communication with prospective residents and families during the period between deposit and move-in.
- Coordinate keys, access information, parking information, resident documentation, and other move-in logistics.
- Track upcoming move-ins, move-outs, transfers, and apartment readiness.
- Assist the Campus Executive Director with Independent Living communications, reports, correspondence, and administrative projects.
- Respond to routine resident questions and concerns and appropriately escalate significant issues to the Campus Executive Director.
- Maintain organized Independent Living files, records, calendars, and office systems.
- Assist with resident meetings, community events, orientations, and special projects.
- Support Sales with resident transition activities and a smooth handoff from the sales process to community operations.
- Help maintain a professional and welcoming Independent Living office environment.
- Coordinate with campus departments to follow up on resident service requests when appropriate.
- Assist with distribution of notices, newsletters, calendars, and other resident communications.
- Participate in community walks and help identify items requiring follow-up.
- Support resident satisfaction and retention efforts through responsive communication and follow-through.
- Perform other administrative and resident-service duties as assigned by the Campus Executive Director.
